We’ll make sure every nook and cranny is cleaned to the highest standard, helping to maximise your chances of getting your full deposit back.

Why Professional End of Tenancy Cleaning Is Important

End of tenancy cleaning is typically a requirement (or at least an expectation) when you vacate a rented house or flat. It involves much more detailed work than an ordinary weekly clean – essentially, the property should be returned in the same state of cleanliness as it was at the start of the tenancy (aside from fair wear and tear). Many tenants underestimate how much time and effort this takes. Kitchens and bathrooms alone can be extremely time-consuming to deep clean, not to mention wiping down every skirting board, light fixture, and cupboard interior throughout the home. Additionally, tenancy agreements often specifically mention cleaning obligations, and some landlords require professional cleaning, especially of carpets or ovens.

Hiring professionals for an end of tenancy clean can save you days of scrubbing and give you peace of mind that nothing is missed. It’s also a safeguard for your deposit. According to statistics, cleaning is one of the top causes of deposit deductions and disputes between tenants and landlordslandlordzone.co.uk. In fact, if a property isn’t cleaned properly, landlords or letting agents might claim part of your security deposit to pay for professional cleaning after you leave. By investing in a proper end of tenancy cleaning service, you greatly reduce this risk. We follow a comprehensive cleaning checklist that aligns with what letting agents expect, ensuring that areas like the oven, carpets, and windows (common problem spots during checkout inspections) are thoroughly cleaned. Professional cleaners also have industrial-grade equipment and effective cleaning products to tackle built-up grime, limescale, and stains far more efficiently than most people can on their own.

Moreover, if you’re a landlord or property manager in Swindon, using our end of tenancy cleaning service means your property will be in excellent condition for the next tenants. A professionally cleaned property can rent out faster and sets a high standard for new occupants to maintain. In short, professional end of lease cleaning is a smart move for both tenants who want their deposit back and landlords who want a quick turnaround. It ensures a thorough job done by experienced cleaners, minimising stress and conflict at what can be a busy time.

Superb job at an excellent price. Moved into a new house recently and the oven was in a bit of a state. After Jamie had finished, it looked brand new. He also gave me some very good advice about usage of the oven which I wasn't aware of. Would recommend to everyone.

What Our End of Tenancy Cleaning Includes

Our end of tenancy cleaning is a top-to-bottom deep clean of the entire property. We aim to clean everything that a landlord or letting agent would inspect. Here’s an overview of what is typically included in our service:

    • Kitchen: We deep clean all kitchen appliances and surfaces. This includes cleaning the oven inside and out (removing baked-on grease and burnt food deposits), the hob/stovetop and extractor fan, and the fridge/freezer (inside and out; the freezer must be defrosted in advance). We clean inside all kitchen cupboards and drawers, removing crumbs and wiping them thoroughly. Sinks, taps, and countertops are descaled and polished. We also wipe down tiles or backsplash, clean the microwave and any other appliances left, and mop the kitchen floor.

    • Bathrooms: We remove limescale and water marks from showerheads, taps, tiles, and screens. Toilets, baths, showers, and sinks are scrubbed and sanitised. We clean mirrors to be streak-free and wipe down bathroom cabinets inside and out. Any mould or mildew in grout or silicone sealant is treated as much as possible. Floors are mopped, and we make sure to clean behind and around fixtures where dirt often accumulates.

    • Living Rooms and Bedrooms: All general rooms receive a thorough dusting and wiping. We dust ceiling corners for cobwebs, clean light fittings (or dust shades), wipe down skirting boards, door frames, and doors. We clean any built-in wardrobes or cupboards inside and out. All switches, sockets, and handles are wiped. We also spot-clean walls if there are any obvious marks (where possible without damaging paint). Carpets are thoroughly vacuumed, and hard floors are vacuumed and mopped.

    • Windows: Our team will clean the internal windows in every room. This means washing the glass to a streak-free finish, wiping down window sills and ledges, and cleaning the window frames/tracks inside. (Exterior window cleaning is usually the tenant’s responsibility only for accessible ground floor windows – we can do outside on request if needed or leave it to a window cleaner). We ensure that natural light can shine in clearly through spotless glass, which is something inspectors often check.

    • Additional Details: We pay attention to the little things. We dust and wipe curtain rails, and if there are blinds, we dust them or wipe them slat by slat if needed. We also clean any vents or extractor fans (such as in bathrooms or kitchens) to remove dust. Door handles and knobs are sanitised. We remove any remaining rubbish from inside bins and give bins a basic clean. Essentially, our goal is to leave no corner untouched – the property will look immaculate and ready for the next tenant.

It’s worth noting that carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning are not always included by every end of tenancy cleaning service, but since Oven & Carpet Bliss specialises in carpet cleaning too, we can certainly include a professional carpet shampoo or hot water extraction for your carpets as part of the service if required. This can be especially useful if you have noticeable carpet stains or if your tenancy agreement stipulates carpet cleaning (for example, after keeping pets). We can bundle this in or do it as an add-on, leaving your carpets fresh and free of any dirt or odours for the next occupant.

Our team brings all the necessary equipment and cleaning agents. You don’t need to supply anything. We use professional, eco-friendly cleaning products that effectively remove grime and scale. By the end of our process, the property will be cleaned to an exceptional standard – the oven and kitchen gleaming, bathrooms sanitised, every room dust-free and vacuumed, and the whole place smelling clean.

Benefits of Our End of Tenancy Cleaning Service

Using Oven & Carpet Bliss for your end of tenancy clean offers numerous benefits at a critical time. Firstly, it saves you a huge amount of time and hard work. Moving homes is stressful enough with packing, paperwork, and logistics. Cleaning an entire property to high standards on top of that can be overwhelming. Our service allows you to hand over the cleaning to professionals who do this day in, day out. You can focus on moving into your new home while we make your old one look its best. This convenience and stress reduction is invaluable during a move.

Secondly, our expertise means a deeper, more thorough clean than you might achieve yourself. We know the common areas that landlords scrutinise, and we won’t cut corners. For instance, we will clean behind appliances (if accessible) and on top of cabinets – places that are often missed in regular cleaning but can accumulate dust or grease. We have the right tools to get into awkward spaces and high-up spots. By using professional-grade cleaners, we can often remove built-up limescale or tough grime much more effectively than off-the-shelf products. This level of detail can make the difference between a tenant receiving their full deposit or facing deductions for cleaning.

Another benefit is the likelihood of a smoother checkout inspection. When your landlord or letting agent sees the property is thoroughly cleaned, it creates a positive impression. You’re far less likely to get follow-up complaints or charges. We aim to eliminate any reason that the property’s cleanliness could be questioned. If you like, we can even provide a receipt or certificate of cleaning that you can show as proof that a professional job was done – some agents appreciate having this documentation.

For landlords and letting agents, our service helps protect your investment. A property that’s cleaned professionally at turnover is more appealing to prospective tenants; it can command better rent and tends to attract tenants who will care for the space. It also helps prevent long-term maintenance issues – for example, removing limescale and mould now can stop damage from worsening over time. Our team’s work might reveal if there are any maintenance issues (like a slow drain or a mould problem) that you might want to address before new tenants move in.

Lastly, hiring local experts like us gives you the assurance of reliability. We are used to working with tight turnaround times between tenancies and can schedule the cleaning at a convenient time once the property is empty. We stand by the quality of our work – our goal is your complete satisfaction. Knowing that a professional team has cleaned and checked the property gives both tenant and landlord confidence during the handover process.

    Serving Swindon and Nearby Areas

We provide end of tenancy cleaning throughout Swindon and its surrounding localities. If you’re moving in or out of a property in Swindon, or nearby towns within about 15 miles (such as Chippenham, Marlborough, Cirencester, or Calne), we can likely accommodate you. Oven & Carpet Bliss is based in Swindon, so we understand the expectations of local landlords and estate agents. We have worked in properties all over town – from modern flats in Swindon’s centre to older houses in villages around Wiltshire. This local experience means we’re familiar with common types of finishes and fixtures in area homes, and we tailor our cleaning accordingly (for example, knowing how to treat limestone tile in a Cotswold cottage vs. a modern tiled bathroom in a new build flat).

Because we operate locally, we can be flexible and responsive. Need a last-minute booking? We’ll do our best to fit you in, especially during peak moving times like end of the month. We bring all our equipment in our vehicle, so all we need is access to electricity and water at the property. Our team works efficiently to get the job done within the agreed timeframe, ensuring you can hand back keys on schedule. We’re also fully insured, which means in the unlikely event of any accidental damage during cleaning, you’re covered (though we take great care to treat your property and belongings with respect). Choosing a local company like ours means you get friendly, personalised service – we truly care about maintaining our good reputation in the Swindon area. Many of our clients are referred to us by others who were delighted with the results. Whether you’re a tenant, landlord, or letting agent, you can rely on Oven & Carpet Bliss for a top-quality end of tenancy clean in Swindon and beyond.

    1Cancellations

If you cancel within 24 hours of an appointment 50% of the total quote is still payable.

2What does an end of tenancy clean include?

Our end of tenancy clean is very comprehensive. It includes cleaning all rooms: we dust and wipe all surfaces, skirting boards, and fixtures; deep clean the kitchen (including oven, hob, extractor, and inside all cupboards, plus fridge if it's defrosted); deep clean the bathroom(s) (descale and scrub toilet, shower, bath, sink, tiles, etc.); clean all internal windows; and vacuum or mop all floors. Essentially, we cover everything from removing cobwebs on the ceiling to scrubbing floors. We also empty and clean bins and will do things like wiping inside drawers and wardrobes. If you have specific requests, we can usually accommodate them. The goal is a top-to-bottom clean so the property is in move-in condition for the next tenant.

3Do I need to provide any cleaning supplies or equipment?

No, you don’t need to provide anything. We arrive with all the necessary cleaning materials, equipment, and products. Our team is equipped with professional-grade vacuum cleaners, mops, buckets, cloths, and a range of cleaning solutions for different tasks (like limescale remover for bathrooms, degreaser for kitchens, glass cleaner for windows, etc.). All we require is access to water and electricity. You can sit back and let us handle everything needed to get the job done.

4How long does an end of tenancy cleaning take?

The duration depends on the size and condition of the property. As a rough guideline, a small one-bedroom flat might take 4-6 hours for a full end of tenancy clean. A typical three-bedroom house can take around 8-10 hours (which might be done by a team of two in 4-5 hours working together, for example). Larger or very dirty properties will take longer, possibly up to a full day or even multiple days in extreme cases. When you book with us, we can give you an estimate based on the details of your property. We always allocate enough time to do a thorough job – we don’t rush because quality is important.

5Do I need to be present during the cleaning?

It’s up to you. Many tenants give us access to the property (for example, arranging key collection or leaving keys with an agent) and do not stay there while we clean, especially if they have already moved out. We are a trusted local company – our staff are vetted and reliable, so you can feel safe letting us work in the empty property if you can’t be there. Alternatively, you can absolutely be present if you prefer; some clients stay for part or all of the cleaning. We will let you know when we expect to be finished. What matters most is that we can enter the property and have uninterrupted time to complete the work before any inspection or key handover.

6Is carpet cleaning included in end of tenancy cleaning?

We offer carpet cleaning as an additional service. Our standard end of tenancy checklist includes a thorough vacuum of all carpets, but not a deep carpet shampoo by default (since not every tenancy requires it). However, since we are professional carpet cleaners as well, you can easily add on carpet cleaning to your end of tenancy package. In many cases, if carpets have visible stains or haven’t been cleaned in a long time, it’s a good idea to have them professionally cleaned to satisfy the checkout inspection. Some tenancy agreements specifically require carpets to be cleaned if you had pets, for example. Just let us know if you want carpet cleaning included. We can often do it on the same visit, using our hot water extraction machine, so the carpets are left clean and fresh for the next tenant.

7Do you clean ovens and appliances as part of the service?

Yes, absolutely – cleaning the oven is a key part of our end of tenancy service (we know dirty ovens are a common complaint on inspections). We will deep clean the oven interior, racks, door glass, and hob. We also clean the extractor fan hood and filters. If the property includes a dishwasher, washing machine, or microwave, we wipe those as well (inside the washing machine door seal/soap drawer, inside the microwave, etc.). For fridges and freezers, we clean inside and out – we just ask that the fridge/freezer is emptied and fully defrosted beforehand so we can clean it properly. We also clean inside kitchen cabinets, so all appliances and storage spaces in the kitchen will be tackled. Essentially, the kitchen will be left spotless, appliances included.

8Should I defrost the freezer before you come?

Yes, please. If your kitchen has a freezer that will be cleaned, it’s very helpful if you can defrost it 24-48 hours before our appointment. Freezers take time to defrost, and we cannot properly clean the interior if it’s still a block of ice. By defrosting in advance, we can immediately get to cleaning the freezer walls, shelves, and drawers during our visit. If it’s not defrosted, we might have to skip a thorough clean of the freezer or reschedule that part, which could lead to an incomplete service. So, for best results, empty the freezer of food and turn it off the day before so it’s fully thawed out when we arrive.

9Can you guarantee I’ll get my deposit back?

While we can never guarantee the return of your deposit (because that also depends on other factors like damages or other lease terms), we do guarantee that our cleaning will meet professional standards and we strive to ensure cleaning won’t be a reason for any deductions. We follow agency-approved cleaning checklists. If for any reason the landlord or agent finds a legitimate cleaning issue that was included in our scope and was missed, we are happy to come back and rectify it promptly (this is our re-clean policy). Our goal is that you pass the cleanliness inspection with flying colours. Many tenants who use our service get their full deposit back with no cleaning issues noted. So, while we can’t speak for the landlord’s entire assessment, you can be confident the property’s cleanliness will not be a problem.

10Do you provide a receipt or proof of cleaning for my landlord/agency?

Yes, of course. We can provide an invoice or receipt that clearly states an end of tenancy professional clean was carried out, along with the date, at that property. We can email you a copy or print one out as needed. This documentation can be useful to show your letting agent or landlord as evidence that you hired a professional service. It gives both parties added confidence. Some agencies include our invoice in the checkout report. We stand by our work, so if there are any issues raised, you can refer them back to us. But rest assured, with the receipt in hand, you have proof that you fulfilled your cleaning obligation professionally, which usually resolves any questions about the cleanliness of the property.

11What areas do you cover for oven cleaning?

We serve Swindon and all surrounding areas roughly within a 15-mile radius. This includes nearby towns and villages in Wiltshire such as Wroughton, Highworth, Royal Wootton Bassett, Purton, and more. If you’re unsure whether we cover your location, feel free to contact us – chances are if you’re in the Swindon area, we can come to you.

If you are looking to book any of our services or just want to make a general enquiry please use the form on our contact page and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
